Manitoba Parks 2026 Camping Reservations Open On April 13th

Home News

Manitoba Parks is once again offering staggered dates for camping reservations to help elevate the backlog on opening day. New this year is the ability to set up a notification for available campsites. Reservation account holders may now set up to five availability notifications within their profile. If a campsite becomes available that matches the selected location and criteria, users will be notified by email.

The Manitoba parks reservation service will accept bookings in five phases:

  • April 13th at 7 a.m. for all cabins, yurts and group-use areas;

  • April 14th at 7 a.m. for campsite reservations at Birds Hill, Birds Hill, Winnipeg Beach and Grand Beach;

  • April 15th at 7 a.m. for campsite reservations at Whiteshell Provincial Park campgrounds: Betula Lake, Big Whiteshell, Brereton Lake, Caddy Lake, Falcon Beach, Falcon Lakeshore, Nutimik Lake, Opapiskaw, Otter Falls, West Hawk Lake, and White Lake;

  • April 16th at 7 a.m. for campsite reservations in the…

    • Northern Region; Bakers Narrows, Campers Cove, Pioneer Bay, Paint Lake, Wekusko Falls

    • Western Region: Adam Lake, Asessippi, Blue Lakes, Childs Lake, Kiche Manitou, Manipogo, Rainbow Beach, Rivers, Wellman Lake, William Lake

  • April 17th at 7 a.m. for all remaining locations: Birch Point, Camp Morton, Hecla, Hnausa Beach, Lundar Beach, Moose Lake, St. Malo, Stephenfield, Watchorn and Nopiming Provincial Park campgrounds: Beresford Lake, Bird Lake, Black Lake, Shoe Lake, Tulabi Falls.

“Manitobans are eager to get outside and enjoy our provincial parks this summer. Whether families are planning a weekend getaway or a longer summer adventure, our Parks Reservation Service helps make it easier for everyone to find and reserve the perfect campsite.”
— nvironment and Climate Change Minister Mike Moyes

Online and call centre services will begin at 7 a.m. at https://prspub.gov.mb.ca or register by phoning 204-948-3333 (in Winnipeg) or 1-888-482-2267 (toll free).

A new $10 reservation cancellation fee has been introduced this year to help offset costs when camping reservations are cancelled. The fee will also encourage intentional reservations and improve campsite availability, giving more Manitobans and visitors the opportunity to book a campsite when they want to use it. The cancellation fee will apply to any reservation cancelled four or more days prior to arrival. Reservations cancelled within three days or less of arrival will continue to be charged one night’s camping fee.

Visitors are reminded that Black Lake campground in Nopiming Provincial Park will remain closed for the 2026 season to allow wildfire recovery work to continue. In addition, some site closures are in place due to construction activities at St. Malo, Hecla-Gull Harbour and Grand Beach campgrounds. Reservations will also not be accepted at this time for the Bay 10 family/group sites at Kiche Manitou Campground in Spruce Woods Provincial Park while ongoing electrical upgrades are completed.

There are also numerous walk-in backcountry camping, wilderness and canoeing opportunities (check out the backcountry camping FAQs), which are on a first-come, first-served basis, with a few select locations in Nopiming Provincial Park available through the park reservation service

Download the seasonal Campers Guide as a .PDF to learn more before making your reservation and be sure to check out some of Manitoba’s most popular parks.
